How does the world interact with your association? Do you have a website with or without a blog? Are you active on social media? Do you use videos? Do you fundraise online? Every platform you use to reach your audience requires content.

Maybe you’ve thought after a great day that exemplifies your mission in action, you wanted to share what happened with the world. But that should only be part of why you wanted to create the content. What’s the goal for publishing? Is this intended to attract new supporters? Increase donations? Educate your community? Thinking about these questions more deeply will better inform how you should move forward. Content also helps you build trust and authority by showing your expertise and giving visitors and constituents helpful information.

You also need to vary your content formats because no single type of content appeals to every visitor. The content formats listed below will help you get started.
