Defining Diversity

[progressally_objectives]

Diversity is something that we all come into contact with in our everyday lives, and we pursue diversity because we have different interests, desires, thoughts and aspirations as individuals. It is from this diversity that we form and build our entire planet.

Defining Diversity

In the U.S., the word “diversity” is powerfully related to racial diversity. However, that's only one dimension of human reality.

Diversity is the range of human differences. Diversity includes but is not restricted to race, ethnicity, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, class, ability or attributes, nonsecular or moral values system, national origin and affairs of state.

Decades of analysis recommends that intolerance hurts our well-being—and that people thrive once they are ready to tolerate and embrace the range of the globe.

Organizational diversity means diversity of thoughts, concepts and methods — which helps organizations and teams to find solutions that take into account problems from many perspectives, making solutions better, more balanced and more streamlined.
