Identifying Racism in Practice & Policy
In America today, we must face the fact that racism is active and infiltrated in all aspects of our public lives, even in areas we may not be able to immediately recognize. As association leaders, it is our responsibility to do the work to recognize and root out racism in our own organizations. This is not an easy task and requires us to take a hard look at where we may say one thing in our mission and value statements while we practice something else.
In this course, you will learn the importance of shared definitions of racism and a step-by-step process for evaluating the practices and policies at your own organization. This course is a first step in your journey to making your own organization anti-racist.
