The difference between forecasting and predictive analytics

The purpose of forecasting and predictive analytics can sound the same; however, forecasting and predictive analytics are different. Forecasts anticipate trends within large people groups, typically over an extended period of time (months or years). Predictive analytics anticipates the behavior of a single person in current time (right now).
