Step 2: Get the data
The task below will be automatically checked off once you complete watching the video.
The main goal for this step is to organize the data using the metrics you identified step one. You can create the spreadsheet on your own, or work with a vendor or your association’s IT department to get the data.
Choose a representative timeframe where the outcome (that is, whether someone has left or not) is known; get as close to the current date as possible, especially in times of uncertainty.
Organize the data in an Excel spreadsheet in the following format:
- Each row is a unique member
- A column to identify member
- A column to identify if the member did not renew (0 = renewed,1 = did not review)
- One column for each metric from step one
